Wunmi ‘Mohbad’s Widow’ Shares Grief – ‘Ilerioluwa, Do Not Sleep’

Wunmi, who has a child with Mohbad, took to her Instastories to share a somber black image, reflecting her sorrow.

The widow of the late singer, Ilerioluwa Aloba, known as Mohbad, expressed her frustration after the pathologist investigating his death informed the coroner’s inquest that the cause of death remained undetermined.

Mohbad passed away amidst controversy on September 12, 2023, and was laid to rest the next day. However, following public outcry for justice, his body was exhumed on September 21 for an autopsy to establish the cause of death.

During a coroner’s inquest on May 15, the pathologist disclosed that due to the advanced decomposition of Mohbad’s body, determining the cause of death was not feasible.

At the hearing, a witness also brought to light the conflicts Mohbad had with Wunmi and Sam Larry.

In response, Mohbad’s widow ‘Wunmi’, who has a child with Mohbad, shared a blank dark image on her Instastories, signaling her grief.

Cause of Death

The post-mortem examination performed on the deceased singer Ilerioluwa Aloba, commonly known as Mohbad, did not yield conclusive results regarding the cause of his demise, as disclosed by forensic scientist and pathologist Sunday Osiyemi of the Lagos State University Teaching Hospital (LASUTH).

According to reports, Mohbad’s family attorney, Wahab Shittu, relayed to the press that the pathologist hinted at the potential correlation between the singer’s passing and certain medications.

The lawyer said: “The pathologist said the body ought to have been exhumed within 12 hours after it was buried to avoid decomposition. So the summary he is saying is that the cause of death cannot be ascertained, and when you say the cause of death cannot be ascertained, it means it is suspicious, it is not clear, and there is no particular reason.

“He also went further to say that it may be attributed to reactions to certain drugs administered to him before he died. Again, he then qualified that to say he does not know whether it is those drugs that led to his death.”
