NIGERIAN BURNA BOY, DAVIDO, WIZKID MAKE FORBS AFRICAN ICONS’ LIST

The top Nigerian celebrities have been listed for Forbes ‘100 Icons from Africa.’ Burna Boy, Wizkid, Davido, Omotola Ekeinde, Genevieve Nnaji, Funke Akindele-Bello, Chimamanda Ngozi Adichie, Mr. Eazi, Dr. Ngozi Okonjo-Iweala among other Nigerians made the list.
Here are some of your favorite Nigerian celebrities who have been recognized by Forbes Africa for their hard work and excellence.
DAVIDO
Unarguably one of the biggest music stars from Africa topped the icon list.
“The Nigerian-American artist, who also graced the FORBES AFRICA 30 Under 30 list in 2018, told us that “it was people like [Nigerian music veterans] P-Square and D’Banj” who made him believe “that all this was possible”, Forbes Africa wrote.
WIZKID
Described as one of Africa’s brightest and biggest stars, and one of Africa’s Grammy award musicians. Wizkid is another celebrity who made this list of African icons for the year.
BURNA BOY
Afro star Burna Boy came fifteenth on the list. He was recognized for his Best Global Music Album category win at the 63rd Annual Grammy Awards.
CHIMAMANDA ADICHIE
Burna boy was closely followed by Nigerian author and feminist, Chimamanda Adichie who was recognized for authoring some of the best books on the continent.
MR. EAZI
Oluwatosin Ajibade popularly known as Mr. Eazi also made the list for 2021. The Nigerian singer who made the FORBES AFRICA 30 Under 30 list in 2020, was recognized for his hard work and interesting success story.
Other celebrities who made the list include Omotola Jalade-Ekeinde, Genevive Nnaji, and Funke Akindele Bello.
