Bobby Lashley is now the new WWE champion after defeating The Miz via submission in a Lumberjack match on Monday Night Raw.
The former United States army personnel had waited for many years before acquiring his first world heavyweight title in his sixth year with the WWE.
The 44-year-old became the third African American to put the gold around his waist after The Rock and Kofi Kingston.
It was not an easy ride for the member of The Hurt Business to clinch the WWE championship as it all started from the last pay-per-view event The Elimination Chamber.
