Ryan Giggs Denies Assault Charges

Manchester United legend Ryan Giggs has denied allegations of assault after he was arrested on Sunday night.
The Wales manager has denied claims after he was arrested on suspicion of harming his girlfriend, Kate Greville, on Sunday.
The Football Association of Wales (FAW) has canceled a press conference planned for Tuesday where Giggs was due to announce his squad for upcoming games due to the allegations.
The former Manchester United player was allegedly arrested on suspicion of assaulting Grenville, his girlfriend of three years.
Police were said to have been called to his home in response to reports of a disturbance over the weekend. According to The Sun, the 46-year-old was questioned on suspicion of assault.
A spokesman for the police said the arrested man was released on bail.
He added: “Police were called at 10.05 pm on Sunday to reports of a disturbance. A woman in her 30’s had minor injuries but did not need any treatment.
“A 46-year-old man was arrested on claims of section 47 assault and section 39 assault.”
A representative for Giggs said he denied the claims and was helping the police.
The Welsh FA issued a statement saying it was aware of reports involving Giggs but would not be commenting further.
Giggs was booked to attend the meeting to announce the Wales squad for their games against the US, Ireland, and Finland.
The statement said: “The FAW is aware of an incident involving the men’s
manager Ryan Giggs. The FAW will be making no further comment at this current time.”
