An arrest has been made after Tekashi 6ix9ine was ‘pistol-whipped and kidnapped’
US federal agents have arrested a suspect who they believe was involved with the ‘pistol-whipping, kidnapping and robbery’ of American rapper Tekashi 6ix9ine.
Back in July, the 22-year-old controversial rapper was reportedly accosted by three masked gunmen at 4am in Brooklyn, New York.
During the incident, the popular performer was knocked unconscious before awaking in the back of a vehicle, where money and jewellery were demanded before his releease.
Around $750,000 in jewellery and goods was taken along with $200,000 in cash, according to reports after they drove to Tekashi’s house.
The rapper, whose real name is Daniel Hernandez, was hospitalised after the attack.
After a federal warrant was issued a week ago, TMZ has reported that agents have arrested Anthony Jamel Ellison.
Around $750,000 in jewellery and goods was taken along with $200,000 in cash, according to reports after they drove to Tekashi’s house.
The rapper, whose real name is Daniel Hernandez, was hospitalised after the attack.
After a federal warrant was issued a week ago, TMZ has reported that agents have arrested Anthony Jamel Ellison.
He has pleaded not guilty but has been remanded in custody in a Manhattan prison, awaiting trial.
